Overview
Junker JU-52 1630mm (64") Wingspan - ARF from Nexa - NXA1022-001
Development of the Ju 52 commenced during 1930, headed by German aeronautical engineer Ernst Zindel. The aircraft's design incorporated a corrugated duralumin metal skin as a strengthening measure, which was very unusual at the time. It was initially designed with a single engine, however, it was produced in quantity as a trimotor. The primary early production model, the Ju 52/3m, was principally operated as a 17-seat airliner or utility transport aircraft by various civil operators during the 1930s. Following the rise of Nazi Germany, thousands of Ju 52s were procured as a staple military transport of the nation. The Ju 52/3mg7e was the principal production model.
The Ju 52 was in production between 1931 and 1952. In a civilian role, it flew with over 12 airlines, including Swissair and Deutsche Luft Hansa, as both a passenger carrier and a freight hauler. In a military role, large numbers flew with the Luftwaffe, being deployed on virtually all fronts of the Second World War as a troop and cargo transport; it was also briefly used as a medium bomber.
The Nexa Junker JU-52 is an award-winning .20 size electric scale series transport aircraft with a 1630mm wingspan, constructed primarily from balsa wood and fully covered. This ARF requires assembly and installation of your choice of servos and power system, and includes a two piece wing design with aluminum wing joiner, plastic cowlings, dummy radial engines, flaps, a large battery hatch and pre-hinged and installed control surfaces. A rarity in the hobby, this model would be the talk of any RC airfield.

Long story but with modification , made motors in parts listed work. Took it for trial flight and no joke-it turned out to be one of the sweetest planes I have flown to date. My flying buddy loved it so much he asked to fly it. Sure no problem! Second lap around it went full throttle into the ground with a corkscrew motion. No pun intended.LOL Think one or more of the motors locked as we heard this awful screeching right before the corkscrew. Have a lifetime supply of toothpicks now. So badly demolished I will never exactly find out if my motor mods were the cause. Anyway it flew so sweet my first and (last) flight that I am on the notify when back in stock list. Already have three new correct motors waiting for my junker when in stock. Flew on a 4s 4000mAh battery and only used 25percent throttle and it was going about 44 to 50 MPH. Cannot wait for the next order. Thanks to the team ay MOTION R/C for an awesome plane.

The 6 hour build time is pie in the sky. The so-called instructions are lacking in any useful detail. A simple set of graphic wordless and incomplete instructions does not give an honest guide. No mention whatsoever as to how to install motor wiring (I had to solder my own extensions) plenty of room for all the electronics but getting it all in correctly needs a lot of thought. I have not yet flown mine but It sure looks good and the parts fit together quite well. All in all, a good value but don’t make it your first build.

Hard to take off as well without some power and rudder use. Overall a good looking plane with plenty of power but very prone to stalls and sluggish turns. Would I buy this again ? Probably not unless I needed another hangar queen. Doesnt look like its going to be available anyway so bye bye Junkers.

No plastic gear straps which Motion corrected also by sending metal straps. The rear servo openings were to large and I had to modify them with balsa wood and glue. I'm still in the build stage so I'm sure there will be additional issues. They might as well put a Seattle phone book in the box for instructions as this one is useless and I'v built a few. The one thing this has going for it is "looks". It's going to be a great looking plane and I can only hope it flys better than it went together.
